December 27, 2012

This year Christmas was immeasurably my favorite. Kye was an absolute joy! At 3.5 he is so full of wonder and innocence, its a beautiful thing to be a part of. Im so lucky to have this amazing little boy in my life. He fills my heart and my soul with delight with just a look and a giggle. Anywho...
Having the responsibility of raising a human means taking every teaching opportunity possible. The holiday season creates an plethora of such occasions.  Christmas is an excellent time to show the importance of gift giving, sharing and making good choices, of which include honesty. I bring this up because there are a lot of people out there theses days who don't believe in exposing their kids to the lie that is Santa Clause. I.Am.Not.One.Of.Them.  Let me repeat..NOT one of them. Santa Clause is magical. I remember having an awful time falling asleep on Christmas eve. The anticipation and excitement had me so hopped up, my little heart just bursting at the seems with all the magical possibilities. Thats before the real world got ahold of it and molded it into the skeptical corrupt little heart all us grown ups have learned to guard. While my son still has it, I'll protect it for him. Theres time enough for reality.
Our Christmas started the Saturday before at Aunt Ann's house. Kye got to hang out with some awesome cousins!
So hard to get these kids to all look at the camera at the same time!! haha

Kye did get a pony for Christmas! His name is Zach!
