Well tomorrow is the family reunion and we're so excited! We look forward to it every summer. Fun in the sun, awesome people, a pool and what ever weird game our little hearts can dream up. Seriously... Our favorite game for the past few years has been in the deep end of the pool, simply hitting the ball in a circle to one another and counting how many times we can keep from dropping it. Wow, that really sounds lame! Ha it's THE BEST GAME EVER!!! One year we choreographed and executed a synchronized swimming routine! We're totally off the chain...woot woot! It's always allot of fun! Last year we were in the hospital at this time so we had to miss it. We had so much going on I didn't realize how much I missed it untill we began planning this years trip. I can't wait for tomorrow! I cant wait to see everyone! Kye isn't going to know what to think! He absolutly loves the pool so he'll be in little baby heaven when he see's this ones bigger then his tub! He also loves attention, which there will ne no shortage of of sure! :-)I'll post some pictures as soon as I can!

June 20 2010 Happy BIRTHDAY KYE!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYE!!! Here are a few pictures from Kye's first birthday party!! It was HOT HOT HOT out but honestly not too bad. We supplies a pool full of ice, water, and towels to keep everyone cooled off! It was a fantastic day! Kye was in a great mood and absolutly LOVED the attention! Tomorrow he'll be 1...

As I peek around the corner to catch a glimpse of my googling baby boy entertaining himself in the exersauser, I realize he'll be 1 tomorrow. A little misty eyed I think back to the day this boy burst into this world just a handful of joy. I sit quietly for a minute and watch him blow raspberries and coo at his favorite thing in the whole world...a mirror:-). Just as I'm about to get all weepy and sensitive he turns toward me, jumps enthusiastically, spits bubbles through a toothy grin and screeches this obnoxious squeal of delight. What can I do but laugh and kiss his precious little melon.

Tomorrow he'll be 1...wow.

June 12th 2010

Today was a big day! Kye had his very first birthday party AND his very second all on one day! Our NICU friends (twins) Turned 1 today! It's amazing to watch these kids grow. The little girl was just about a pound when she was born, her brother was about Kye's size. They're both thriving! It was great to see them, a few other NICU babies and their parents...a nice little reunion. The other party was Cousin Kirsten! The big 15!!!

We had such a blast! Wow is it beautiful out there! We had perfect weather too...well, I bet the girls would have preferred more sun BUT it wasn't too hot and the rain passed us by for the most part. It was nice to catch up and relax with everyone. . HOT TUB PARTY!!! Whoot Whoot!

Kye had a good time in the hot tub with all the ladies...I'm not ready for all that! Don't worry, it was cooler then his bath water

Uh Oh Cousin Lindsey caught Kye floating around in HER floatie. She was NOT happy about that!


BUT I think they made up before we left...

Oh My how far we've come... With his birthday right around the corner I thought this appropriate!! Most of you remember our little monkey forcing his way into this world weighing in at a whopping 2.9 pounds. You can see on his face he realizes his mistake and wishes he could cuddle a little longer in his nice warm womb...too late little boy, we've got'cha now!!!



Anyway the pic on the right was taken yesterday, June 9th. Just look at what a year (almost) an do!

Oh and yes it's the same monkey...and the same baby.
By the way, that monkey is 10inches long, just to put things in perspective.

Daddy and his boy at the pool...Mama was a freak with the sunblock! I don't know if you can see the white streaks on his little head but, that's caked on lotion. I think I was getting on Grandma's nervous with the constant slathering! I wanted to walk around shading him! Ha

This kiddo is a huge fan of the pool, his favorite though is when Grandma's got him!

He's a happy boy in the bath too!!Here's an update............

Kye weighs 16.5 pounds and he's a little over 26 in long. His length and head circumference are within average range. His weight is still on the low side but, he's gaining steady so nothing to worry about. We went to see the pulmonologist this past Monday and things are different yet again! Now they don't think his diaphragm is paralysed....*sigh*...as he grows and we see things develop his diagnosis (or lack there of) changes. Taking into consideration the smaller size of the right pec muscle, chest wall and lung he believes that the diaphragm is elevated as a result of the smaller lung. So no surgery! Yeaaa! It's slight enough not to hinder him much as he grows. Of course this is NOW, who knows what they'll say at out next visit. We could do an exploratory surgery to verify the cause of the elevated diaphragm but, when I asked him what we would do with the information we gathered he basically said nothing at this point. There are a few other things it could be, a hernia so deep into the diaphragm that you can't see it with xray or ultrasound or a thin spot on the diaphragm. More then likely it's just part of this mysterious right anomaly. I don't see a good enough reason to cut him at this point. I don't need to know why if it can't be fixed. We are going to do a CAT scan in early July. He's bigger now so they may be able to actually whats going on...maybe, possibly, there's a chance that...blah blah blah! The Boy is developing physically and mentally just fine, if you didn't know he had an issue you wouldn't be able to tell so I'm happy as things are.

I'm almost a whole YEAR old!!! Where did the time go!!!???"pfeeelet"

So right about this time last year I was in the hospital with this little booger causing all kinds of trouble in my uterus. Matter of fact, I was on that horrible medicine, Magnesium, 365 days ago. Oh it was terrible! Felt like I was drunk and had the flu at the same time. I Seriously had to close one eye every time they wheeled me anywhere, when I ate or if I had to look at someone. It was some pretty mean stuff. It amazes me to look at this face and remember back to before I knew him. It's hard to imagine now that he's here. My little trouble maker.
"Look at me! I'm doing pretty good with this 'sitting up all by myself' stuff."

"Awe Aunt Kimmy's got me in the pool and I LIKE IT! I like it allot!!"

It's been a good weekend! My Cousin Tosha turned 30 this past week...geeze she's old ;-)... and she had a surprise birthday party on Sunday. It was a lot of fun and as you can see Kye had a ball. As usual he was the life of the party, well till about 7:30 when all Hell breaks loose if there's not a warm bottle in his sticky little hands.

I'm so excited about this summer! This is only the beginning. Kye gets meet so many people who've been following him, love him and can't wait to get their hands on him!
